Our seven Kahukura Schools were represented by about 700 of our students who performed waiata and haka. This was not a competition but an opportunity to show case the learning the children had completed as part of our Change Makers unit across the community of practice.
Thank you to all of the whanau who attended the picnic to support the children. We were thrilled that Rachel Davis ERO took some of her own time to see the work that we have done together in our schools. Thank you too to Minister Megan Woods and Danielle O'Halloran who gave their time to attend this special community event.
We love the collaboration between the principals, boards of trustees, teachers and parents. If we are strong as a constellation of schools then we can confidently say that the children in our area have a much greater guarantee of high quality education regardless of which of our seven schools your children attend.
