Whaea Jo does an amazing job of working with our ELL tamariki and supports their learning of English through lots of fun activities. Often she reproduces experiences like festivals and foods from their heritage country so that the children can relate the words to real experiences. This was a special Festival Day called

Onam, one of Kerala’s most important festivals, is a rich tapestry of traditions, colours, and flavours. It is a unique celebration of culture, community, and unity. The festival commemorates the return of King Mahabali, a beloved ruler, who brought prosperity to the region.
