We on!! Our board has approved the funding to honour our local community both past and present, by hosting a Birthday Celebration on December 4th 2026. This is a no alcohol, family friendly celebration. We stand on the shoulders of those who went before us.
We will start the day as usual and then the fun begins.
- 11.30 mihi whakatau for all of our guests
- 12.30 Platters for the adult guests and a sausage and ice block for all children present. This is funded by our board to honour the ways in which our community has supported our kura over the decades. Kai will break the tapu and return the proceedings to noa
- Living museum and open classes for guests to experience school over the decades. This has been a year long deep learning experience for our tamariki
- 2.30 The Birthday cake. Youngest child and oldest guest willing to divulge their age will blow out the candles. Everyone will share a slice of cake each
- 4.30-7.pm Family picnic. Bring your own or pre-order and prepay an Indian Feast selection, Pizza or take your chances with 2 food trucks. Cold drinks, candy floss and real fruit ice cream will also be available on site. Please bring cash.
