Marriene Langton Principal/Tumuaki
Tēnā koutou e te whanau. This is my 16th year as tumuaki of our lovely kura. I am one-eyed when it comes to providing the very best education for all of our tamariki, strong connections to whanau and applying attachment theory so every child has a champion adult at our school who believes in them unconditionally. I just can’t see past it. Our kaiako and kaiawhina go the extra 50 miles to give our children the best chances to succeed. My family is number one. After 20 years of camping holidays in Kaiteriteri, Graham and I are recidivist “glampers “ and ready for new adventures in our latest caravan. It’s brilliant when our family joins us too.

Basketball Semi Final September 06 2017

What a game. There were some wonderful players in the Halswell Team who were just as determined as our children to qualify for the finals. The players tore up and down the court with some wild throwing followed by some magic buckets. We won and the celebration was noisy. Thank you to all of the parents, grandparents and friends of the children and school who turned up to support. Dave Langrell you are a kind and generous coach. Thank you for all that you do for these children. Fraser Ferguson and Toby Langrell have made it into the Pioneer All Stars Team. Woo hoo.

Thank you Jared for the time you spend with our students and ex students after school and at lunch time. It's lovely to see oldies turning up to help and to learn.
I loved the fighting robots being built for Sumo Challenges in Robofest Term 4.
