Jodi Apiata issued some challenges for us as a board to investigate together. We had a great Saturday afternoon looking at the Articles of the treaty and pre reading a couple of articles that make us think about conscious and unconscious bias. This is such a healthy activity as we talked through historical events and came to a rude awakening that even some recent legislation and political voices had little reference to the Treaty of Waitangi. It's always good to take time to rethink and change the course of our waka.
