Marriene Langton Principal/Tumuaki
Tēnā koutou e te whanau. This is my 16th year as tumuaki of our lovely kura. I am one-eyed when it comes to providing the very best education for all of our tamariki, strong connections to whanau and applying attachment theory so every child has a champion adult at our school who believes in them unconditionally. I just can’t see past it. Our kaiako and kaiawhina go the extra 50 miles to give our children the best chances to succeed. My family is number one. After 20 years of camping holidays in Kaiteriteri, Graham and I are recidivist “glampers “ and ready for new adventures in our latest caravan. It’s brilliant when our family joins us too.

Cross Country

A clear frosty morning followed by a sunny day was the perfect fit for the cross country.

We did have a few who had the Cross Country blues and decided that competing from home would be the best option. While I have a sneaking sympathy for them, I do so admire the children who overcame their fear and dislike and gave their absolute best.

The teachers led by Megan and Charlotte do an amazing job of organizing, setting up and running events like cross country. Thank you team.

Brilliant to have so many parents and whanau there. Thank you for your support. It was lovely to have some special baking for the staff from Lucy W's mum. Afghan biscuits with lashings of chocolate icing and a walnut. Sheer luxury.
